Susan Schwake is an artist/author/art educator/curator Her work has been exhibited in the US, Europe and Mexico and has appeared in publications from China (Small magazine), United AIrlines,Juxtapose among others.Her books have been translated into 9 languages and are sold around the world. Mixed media painting and printmaking are her favorites. She and her husband co-own Artstream Studios and live in New Hampshire.
“The human form/condition has always been an interesting subject matter for me to explore – mostly in my sketchbooks. These three paintings were finished about 7 years apart.They are a reminder of some difficult and some joyous chapters in my life.”
Q. If you could offer your younger self any advice at the start of your artistic career, what would it be?”
A. “Keep going. Make more work. Even when you don’t like the direction the work is heading, keep working. Forget perfection, remember the flow. Keep going forward!”
